Southern Cross Pharmacy
As the Shire of Yilgarn community may be aware, the Southern Cross Pharmacy is closing on 30 June 2024.
On behalf of the Shire of Yilgarn, I wish to thank John, Maureen, Henry and all those that worked in the Pharmacy over the years for their services to the Yilgarn community.
The Shire of Yilgarn shares the communities disappointment in the impending closure of the pharmacy, however respects and understands the decision.
The Shire has and will continue to explore opportunities to keep a level of pharmacy services within the shire.
The Shire has contacted other pharmacy operators, as well as the Pharmaceutical Society of Western Australia and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, to seek interest in new operators setting up in Southern Cross, either full time, part time, or as a remote delivery service.
The Shire understands how important access to medicines is for the Yilgarn community, and will ensure all efforts are made to secure these services into the future.
